Athan,

Since I left my own country, Greece in 2012, and came to Holland, I moved around for a while and ended up in Rotterdam. The city has given me hospitality like no other city has ever done for me and I felt right at home.

Walking alongside the river Maas during sunset with a view
on the skyscrapers is definitely worth while

There are a lot of nice spots to visit in Rotterdam but my most favorite areas are Oude Haven and around Hotel New York, Kop van Zuid. Walking alongside the river Maas during sunset with a view on the skyscrapers or have stroll around Historic Oude Haven is definitely worth while. I like the diversity of the city’s architecture, particularly the old part from before WWII and the new centre after the war.

During the last years the city’s municipality spend more and more attention to the greenery in Rotterdam. It has a lot of green places to offer and it made me think even more of the environment. If you would like to admire a beautiful architectural and an eco-friendly building in the centre, visit Timmerhuis on the Meent.
