After the great success of the ‘Best Burger in Rotterdam, 2015’ Diego’s personal mission was to search for the most perfect products to create the best burger in the Netherlands. Together with Capriole Café and Chef Diegowe invited 10 influential bloggers to be the first to taste Diego’s new hamburger, The Smoked Dutch! With this hamburger Diego will compete for ‘Best Hamburger of The Netherlands, 2017’ during The Horecava in the RAI, Amsterdam. And I must say it was delicious!

Diego kept all the ingredients 100% Dutch , because of this year’s theme at the Horecava: 100% Dutch. The Smoked Dutch patty is placed upon a bun from Vlaams Broodhuys and is made from 16 days dry aged range beef. On top of that you will have homemade bbq sauce mixed with Capriole Café’s own roasted coffee, union rings in a Binckse Belofte beer batter, melted Dutch cheddar cheese from cheesemaker Booij, pulled pork from Dutch Iberico/ duroc-pigs and homemade pickled pickles. 

And to give it an even more bbq flavour, the burger is smoked underneath a glass bell and revealed at the table. In my opinion Diego’s burger is a winner.
